Burn Patches
The treatment of burns in certain body parts, regardless of their size, requires special techniques in order to avoid aesthetic and functional abnormalities. The treatment of burns, in the acute phase, is conducted by physicians (utilization of substances that remove the risk of contamination in the burned area, removal of dead tissues and coverage of the affected area with skin grafts), plays a decisive role in the outcome of the afflicted area of the body.
In order to treat traumatic injuries, the use of silicone patches is equally important. In CRC we have special silicone molds to manufacture patches. The silicone utilization, with the proper technical training and knowledge of the material properties in combination with other conventional materials, but also the proper material and technical infrastructure, enable us to improve at a significant level the body’s surface that suffered the burn, both from an aesthetic and a functional point of view. The material achieves stable application and monitors the anatomical variations, across the range of the lesion, while its use is recommended for a period of 8-12 months.
For the application of the silicone patches, it is necessary to apply elastic bandages of CICATREX type as well. Our experienced staff has attended seminars and has the exclusiveness in the measurement methodology for these elastic bandages. Their material is cotton, dermatologically tested and has horizontal and vertical elasticity for a more comfortable application to the user. They are available in 3 different types:

- Nature: For use on large surface burns
- Filifine: For patients with intense athletic activity that provide better sweat absorption and
- Skin: For use on surfaces with more curves (hand)
Finally, the application of silicone patches can be used in cases of postoperative scarring, where their improvement is achieved to such a degree that several times they cannot be spotted by a casual observer.
